On The 6th Day Of PlinXmas!

Hello again, my festive chums. It's time for another dose of internet wonderment.

Today's helping concerns one of the cornerstones of the Christmas period... Booze!

One of the best seasonal drinks has to be whisky. You can complain as much as you like, but it is true. Sitting with your feet up in front of the fire, glass in hand. Lovely. However, it seems it may have an even greater purpose. According to This News Story, whisky may have a part to play in saving the world!

So, naysayers... Bottoms Up, your planet may depend on it.

Bigger Tree.

Holy Crap, it's getting very close to Christmas now, isn't it? I just finished wrapping my presents and I have a Christmas dinner to cook tomorrow. My first ever roast dinner in fact. Let's hope it goes well. If it does, there may well be pictures.

But for now, here's a link that fills me with a mix of joy and despair. It's a news article about something cool (joy!) but it's from the Daily Mail website (despair!).

I'll link it anyway, then go and have a shower. It's about a dude who purchases a 50ft Christmas tree then transports it home attached to a G-Wiz(!) and uses it to create an impressive illusion.

Anyway, See For Yourself.

Blarg, I feel dirty.

PlinXmas Advent Calendar: Day 11!

So... Christmas is approaching. You may have noticed. How're you spending Christmas Eve this year? Watching telly with the family? Curled up on the sofa in front of the fire? Preparing the Santa-trap? Well, regardless, you're probably going to have a better time than This Dude did. Dang.

Choegddynion!

Submitted for your approval, a road sign in Wales. Nothing unusual about that. It's written in English and Welsh so it can be read easily by everyone. Or can it?

You see, this particular road sign was commissioned and made by Swansea council. They email a translation agency with what they want the sign to say, and the response contains the phrase in Welsh. Except in this case the reply said, in Welsh, "I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated".

Tee-hee!
