Plinxmas Vidvent Calendar - Day 15!

Ask any kid these days what they want for Christmas and you're likely to get an answer that would involve being plugged into a telly. Fair enough, I say. Videogames are a noble pursuit but in years past, letters to Santa were dominated by things like bikes, skateboards and pogo sticks.

It's the last of these that concerns us today. The humble pogo stick has never enjoyed the same level of exposure as its wheely brethren. You get plenty of youtube clips of 'extreme' skate or bike tricks but no extreme pogo.

Until now...

Not bad, eh? SPROING!

On The 14th Day Of PlinXmas!

Right, after yesterday's not-very-festive offerings, I feel I should inject a bit more holiday cheer into the advent calendar today.

That there is a flare-wielding santa, wakeboarding across a lake in Germany and it is part of an excellent collection of photos showing how different parts of the world are kicking off their festivities.

From fireworks in Rio de Janeiro:

To the ski-slopes of Maine:

Circuit Boards.

Evening.

Latitude was a blast. I will give you the full scoop once there are some pictures I can sprinkle through the post.

For now though, here's a video called Gnarcade. It's a music video which doubles as a skateboarder/snowboarder showcase. More importantly, it uses iconic imagery from some classic videogames and the editing is pretty amazing. Not a lot else I can say about it, really. Just watch it yourself.
