Zzzap!

Hey. As far as classic internet staples go, videos of people microwaving stuff that they shouldn't is one of the very oldest. But there's a reason for that, it makes for really entertaining viewing. This here is a well made collection of some real hum-dingers. It's probably well-made because it's an advert for some microwave macaroni. But who cares about that, eh?!

Anyway, enjoy Easy Mac Micro Maniac. The non-food items are particularly fun!

PlinXmas Advent Calendar: Day 18!

Nothing symbolises Christmas like a warehouse full of microwaves, I'm sure you'll agree. To that end, here's a video:

PlinXmas Advent Calendar: Day 15!

Christmas shopping? Have you done yours yet? I have. Check me out with my forward planning. The worst part is the people. Swarms of them, each with their own agenda. Stumbling, mumbling drones getting in my way. Nightmare. Well, there is another way. You could take care of all your shopping online! You could be sitting around in your pants instead of struggling through the horde. Imagine the luxury. You could do worse than to start with This Site. You may get more than you bargained for. Especially if you start with that blue cup!

What's in a Name?

Many of you will have a name that has at some point been immortalised in song. "Jolene", "Kevin Carter", "Black Betty", "Jeremy", "Annie, Let's Not Wait", "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?", "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine", "Making Plans for Nigel", "Molly's Chambers", "Maxwell's Silver Hammer"... I could go on and on. But I won't. The point is, there are no songs with Paul in them and I tend to moan about this occasionally. Well, today I got an email that shut me up. A scottish band called Attic Lights have named a song after me. And you. And you and you aaand Ba Ba Baaah! (ahem, sorry) But yes, it's true. They have songs with my name and yours*. Pretty cool, eh? Eh?!
Yes, of course it's an advertising gimmick. They really just have a song called Wendy and have recorded versions with lots of different names to try and sucker people in. Well guess what? It worked! I'm passing it on. Here!

*Possibly

Oh, and as a footnote. While writing this post I found out that there are several songs with my name in. Also, I had forgotten that there is an entire Beastie Boys album with my name in it. But shush, I'm trying to make a point here!

I'm selling out... Again!

Yes! It's another viral video advert, this time for some office supply company. Advertising agencies, some advice: If you want me to plug your product, make a video with a Rube Goldberg device in it.

In all seriousness, this one is actually really well thought out. Have a goosie.

I'm selling out.

Coke and hookers cost money, y'know. So allow me to present a 'viral' video advert for... a phone, I think?
Anyway, it's a bunch of optical illusions and I'm a sucker for them so here goes.

Oh, and while we're on the subject, here's How To Draw An Impossible Triangle. Cool, huh?
