Chairman of the Bored.

I don't know how familiar you are with wrestling. Yeah, the choreographed stuff they show on TV. But wait! Come back. Even if you despise it, watch this anyway. It's an old clip so the video quality is super-sketchy but it's clear enough for you to see what's going down.
As you may or may not know, hitting people with folding chairs is a pretty common practice in pro wrestling. Everyone loves to see it. So when someone asks the audience for a chair to deliver a beat-down... That's what he got.

Tee-Hee!

Breaking the 4th Wall.

Submitted for your approval, a game. A game like no other. A game that is... self-aware. A game suitable for playing, only in... The Twilight Zone.

But seriously, it's pretty good. Kept me interested until the end. It's called Inquisitive Dave and it's one o' them walk-around-picking-up-items-and-using-them-to-solve-puzzles affairs. The interest level is ratcheded up once it starts playing with the conventions of a game. Self-reference, talk of 'the player' and such. Look, just play it OK? Good.

All Filler, No Killer.

My house is currently infested with family so I have been forced out of my room and I get precious little time at my computer. So this is just a quick link to keep things rolling until I can get back to the serious business of providing links to the... masses? Hmm. Anyway, enough shpiel.

Frankly there are no words to describe the majesty of THIS anyway!

Home Sweet Home.

Ah, it's good to be back. After a few days of sunshine and fresh air, a stupendous amount of entertainment in all its myriad forms, it's great to be back sitting in the dark, lit only by the glow of my monitor. No, really *sigh*. Naw, it's ok really. Plus, I get to share with you one of my new favourite comedians. His name is Tim Minchin and he mainly deals in comedy songs, he's been around for ages but I was too busy being ignorant to notice. Anyway, watched him on Saturday and it was bloody hilarious. This was one of his songs. Enjoy!

Fill Your Boots.

Hey hey hey. As I am off to Latitude festival tomorrow (WOOOOOOOOOO! Ahem), you will have to make do without my links that shine like a beacon of hope in your grey lives. Sorry about that. BUT I am willing to cut you a deal. I'll chuck a few extras into this one post and you have to pace yourselves, mmkay? Mmkay.

First, some culture. How many times have you found yourself in an art gallery, looking at the pretty pictures and thinking "Hmm, as much as I can appreciate MC Escher's 'Self Portrait in Reflective Ball', I would like it a whole lot more if there was a duck in there". Well, you are most definitely in luck.

These and other masterpieces are defaced improved in yonder Flickr Pool.

Next! A game, a game of balance and quick wits. A game of blowing up stuff with bombs in order to bring a golden statue thingy safely down to earth. It's called Totem Destroyer and it will eat up your free time.

Lastly, I'm going to twist the geek humour dial up a few notches. Yes, it goes up further, thank you very much. You cheeky sods. Hmmph.
Anyway, it is a totally for reals and definitely not fake film pitch sent my Michael Bay (Boo!) to Warner Bros. (Meh) to show them his vision for the upcoming Batman sequel The Dark Knight (Yay!)

Anyway, the result is... well, see for your dang selves:

Genius, click Here for the rest.

That's your lot. I'll be back Tuesday for more interfun and hyperfrolics. Bye!

Makin' Bacon.

Meat and chocolate. Both great on their own, no question. But they should be kept apart, right? Wrong.

I discovered this at a new year's eve party a couple of years ago when I put a mini sausage wrapped in bacon under a chocolate fountain. The resulting mess was, in a word, delicious. Since that day I have been preaching the good word of choc'n'meat to all and sundry. But you people never seem to believe me.

But now, I have found a kindred spirit. Someone who understands. Someone with the drive and ambition to creat a new kind of snack. Behold... The Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie!

Careful now, don't drool on your keyboard. Instead, read about this exercise in confection perfection (inc. the recipe) right Here.

Oh, and if you make some. Save one for me, won't you? Ta.

Hey! Presto.

As I'm sure you're aware. Every time Pixar bring out a new fillum, they prefix it with an animated short. Just Like These.

So, the release of the new Pixar film, Wall-E is imminent (and it looks great!) Naturally, they must have made a new short too.

Correct, it's called Presto and I am going to reveal it for you. Shazam!

Hmm, turns out that is just a trailer. But never fear! Full one Here.

Far Out.

Someone, quick! Ask me what I did with my day!

*Waits patiently*

Oh screw you guys. I'm gonna tell you anyway.

Oh, nothing much. I just sent my name to the freaking MOON!
See?!
What? That's totally as exciting as I'm making it out to be. There must be something wrong with you.

Why don't you Send Your Name and then we'll see what's what. Details Here if you're still not convinced.

Oh, and due to an overwhelming response from readers. I've changed the name back to Plinx. Let it not be said that I have lost touch with my fanbase since my meteoric rise.

Getting Jiggy.

A game for your delectation. Specifically a game that someone I know did some writing for. So play it and show your support if you would. That's be just dandy.

It's called Gigolo Assassin, and with a name like that, you know you're in for a treat. It's a point and click adventure game. Like a more puerile Monkey Island. In fact, they even used the same font if I remember rightly. Anyway, I just finished the first mission. It's great, Check It Out.

Bam! Justice.

Everbody Dance Now.

So there's this guy, right. His name is Matt and he likes to go to all these different places in the world and instead of taking 600 photographs in a week, or buying a souvenir spoon or whatever, he does a little dance and gets someone to film him.

Great, fine. Whatever floats your boat, man. But what're you telling me for?

Well, it just so happens that the result is an extremely heartwarming little video. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that if you can watch the whole dang thing without it making you smile, just a little bit... you have no soul.

Oh, as a sidenote. This is nothing new. This Matt fella had a bit of fame with a video like this a coupla years ago, which can be found Here if you haven't seen it. But! This new one has a lot more exotic locales and more scenes where he dances with other people. They're my favourite bits.

Alright already, you've talked about it enough. Just show us the bloody thing.

Awwwwww.
