Flame On.

No messing about this time. Just gonna get straight down to business:
Oh. Except to say that the first 30secs of this video is an entirely unneccesary clip from X-Men, but feel free to ignore that.

Pretty cool, huh? I just need one of those on one arm and a web-shooter on the other!

Where's Your Head At?

Morning all. Let's talk about street art. When it's bad, like when it is just someone's name scrawled on a wall, it makes you wonder why they even bothered (However, some simple graffiti can raise a smile. My favouite is still 'suk ur own mum' on a wall in Coventry). But when it's good, it can be really bloody impressive. For example, Julian Beever, the guy who does those incredible chalk drawings on pavements. But that's old news. One of the more recent ones that I have been enjoying is the work of a guy called The Decapitator. Can you guess what he does? Here's a clue:
Before. After.

Pretty cool, right? Have a poke around the Whole Album.

Pop Quiz, Hotshot.

What do the following have in common?
Tomb Raider, Doom, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Silent Hill, Mortal Kombat, Super Mario Bros.

Video Games, right?
Nope, I was actually talking about films based on video games. Suckers.

Anyway, the point is why stop there? There are plenty of iconic video game series that could be made into films.

For example:

Tetris?

or even...

Minesweeper?

Blogging from work. Tsk.

Hello there. As I'm sure you know, once a week I have to do a shift that finishes at 8.30 rather than 5. Up until now, that meant utter boredom as nobody is here and there is very little to do, but I couldn't just piss about online as there was someone else here with me. But now they have decided I can be trusted on my own so I am free to browse this wild, wild, web. One of the best ways to kill time that I have found, is to read the articles that the great Charlie Brooker writes for the Guardian. Luckily they can all be found Here for my (and now your) perusal. So fill your boots.

Attention, Nobody!

This next post is going to be of interest to precisely 0% of the people reading this. But it's my blog so any and all nay-sayers are encouraged to go jump in a lake. If you are me, this is BIG NEWS.
They are making a Homestar Runner game for the Wii! 2 of my favourite things, colliding in a fiery ball of genius. But you don't care, right? PROVE ME WRONG!

Also, while I'm on a H*R high, peep this... Strong Bad's favourite band Limozeen played a few gigs recently, and someone uploaded the whole setlist to youtube. Including the part where SB was channeled and they played Trogdor. Rawk.

Masai Marathon

As the London Marathon was today (hope all the Macmillan stuff went well Katy), I have a related link to post. Apparently there was a group of 6 Masai Warriors running in the marathon. They were given a brief guide to Britain to help them avoid getting in trouble. It included such pearls of wisdom as this:

"You will see many people who are wearing only small clothes and you will wonder why they are cold and may think they are being disrespectful. This is normal for England, especially when it is sunny or in the evening. However, it is illegal to show certain parts of the body and for this reason it is important that you wear underpants if you are wearing your blankets."

I think we could all do well to remember that.

Anyway, there is a Telegraph article about it Here which is well worth a read.

Also, I have just read that they raised £26,687 so far, which is fantastic as the money is being used to provide their village with clean water.

A Pleasant Stroll

I fancy going for a walk, anyone want to come with me? I figured we could go to Spain and walk along the Caminito Del Ray. It looks nice and safe... honest. Check it out.

But seriously, I hope you watched that. It's incredible, just watching it gave me the jibblies. Apparently they closed it off after a few people died there a few years back. Check the wiki entry for more info. It's fascinating.

Mario Kart

Yes, I'm double posting now. But shush, this is important. Mario Kart Wii is released this friday. If you own a Wii, or you live in a house with someone who owns a Wii, or even if you have ever so much as glanced at a Wii... you should go buy it.
Info, Pics and Videos HERE.

Seriously, it'll rock. It has online too so I'll need some challengers!

It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World

Depending on how much American telly you have watched in your life, you may or may not know of Mad Magazine. If not, essentially the only thing worth knowing about it is that it had a regular feature called the 'fold-in'. This consisted of a picture and caption that could be folded in a specific place to show a hidden picture and caption. Often with a sharp satirical edge to the joke. Anyway, the point is, some of them have been put on this here internet and I strongly suggest you take a look-see.
